Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning cast in new Woody Allen movie
No details have been revealed about who Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning will be playing in Woody Allen's next project.
Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning have been cast in Woody Allen's upcoming film.
The Spring Breakers actress and Maleficent star have been tapped to appear in the currently untitled project by the renowned director, which will be released by Amazon Studios.
Timothee Chalamet, who has appeared in Interstellar and has won praise for his performance in upcoming feature Call Me by Your Name, is also set to appear in the movie. All other details are being kept quiet.
The venture will mark Allen's latest collaboration with Amazon, having released his 2016 feature Cafe Society, starring Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively, and Jesse Eisenberg, with the company.
His next offering, Wonder Wheel, was made under Amazon Studios as well, and is set to debut on the closing night of New York Film Festival in October (17). Justin Timberlake, Kate Winslet, Juno Temple and Jim Belushi front the feature, set at an amusement park on Coney Island in the late 1950s.
Amazon also distributed Allen's television debut Crisis in Six Scenes. Allen starred in the series opposite Miley Cyrus, who played a house guest who sells marijuana. The comedy show featured six half-hour episodes, though the programme didn't fare well with critics.
Allen himself even admitted it was a "catastrophic mistake" of a show, predicting before its release last September that it would be a "cosmic embarrassment".
Allen's untitled new movie is expected to arrive in 2018.
